A Sunny Gamla Uppsala
Today was nice and sunny so we visited Gamla Uppsala (Old Uppsala) and the Church.
Gamla Uppsala is most recognised by its large grass covered burial mounds. The site has been considered significantly over many centuries but today you’ll more likely see people simply enjoying the outdoors, sunbathing during the summer or maybe skiing in winter.
Besides walking up/down/around the mounds we also looked inside the Church.
These days it all sits Gamla Uppsala sits quietly north of modern Uppsala but can be reached in 15-20 minutes from Uppsala centrum by bus or bike. Entry is free, the church takes donations and the small museum
